Who are we?
This project unites leading academic institutions, federal offices, NGOs, and cantonal authorities. Our strength lies in the collaboration between theoretical ecology, social science, and practical wildlife management.
Partners
To ensure our framework is robust and applicable across diverse contexts, we are collaborating with three model cantons that represent Switzerland’s linguistic, geographical, and administrative diversity:
St. Gallen (East): Representing the “Revier” (territorial) hunting system, alpine foothills, and German-speaking culture.
Basel (Northwest): Representing the “Revier” system, lowland agriculture, and a tri-national border region (CH/DE/FR).
Fribourg (West): Representing the “Patent” (licensing) hunting system, mixed landscapes, and French-speaking culture.
